Rhodes hosted Hendrix College for the SAA Quarter Final matchup on Saturday. This game
marked the second time the two teams faced off in the last seven days. It quickly proved an
emotional game as both teams battled it out in the first half. Rhodes was on the attack early,
scoring eleven points with five in the 1st period and six in the second. Hendrix pushed the Lynx
defense as they answered with six points of their own, with two in the first and another four
coming in the 2nd quarter.
The story flipped in the second half, as Head Coach Dave Zazzaro rallied his team and outscored
Hendrix 7-1 to finish the game: the final score was Rhodes (18), Hendrix (7). Rhodes heads to
Danville, Kentucky, to face Sewanee in the SAA Semi-Final on Friday, April 28th at 7
PM (EST).
