The Rhodes Lynx faced off vs. the Birmingham Southern Panthers on Friday night. It was a
battle between some of the SAA's top offensive and defensive players with all the emotions of
Senior Night, Spring Fest, and a packed house on Crain Field. The game began with an opening
tally by the Rhodes Lynx, and although both teams fired a volley of shots, the quarter ended 1-0
in favor of Rhodes. The Lynx were the sole benefactor again in the second quarter as they
added one more to their total to lead 2-0 to end the 1st half.
Everything began to speed up in the second half as 7 points were scored in the 3rd period. BSC
started the scoring with 4 of their own, as Rhodes put in 3 to finish 5-4 headed into the final
quarter. In the 4th quarter, Rhodes added 5 more points to their total as the Rhodes defense
held BSC scoreless. In total, the Rhodes defense held BSC scoreless for 3 of the 4 quarters of the
game.
