On the opening weekend of Spring Break, Rhodes traveled to Colorado Springs, Colorado. In the first of two games in the Centennial State, they faced the Blue Streaks of John Carroll University. John Carroll, a perennial conference champion, lost in the 2nd round of the prior year's NCAA Tournament to eventual National Runner-Up Union College. The Blue Streaks started their command of the game early, winning the face-off battle, and built a lead by 5 heading into the second half. The Lynx evened the scoring in the 3rd quarter to make the game 11-6. Both teams stood tall on defense in the final period, with each team scoring only one goal. The game finished 12-7. This game marks the 3rd time that Rhodes has played an NCAA Tournament team this season.
