Caroline Kardian leading the way with five. Senior
Emily Bruner tallied nine assists in the game, tying her game-high best.
Coming off a heartbreaking loss last Wednesday against University of Alabama Huntsville, Rhodes put together a dominant performance on the road. By the time the first quarter ended, the Lynx were up 11-0 with freshman Kardian leading the way with three goals, while juniors
Chloe Parker and
Avery Burke tallying two. Bruner,
Molly Martiner, Carina Wesker, and Anna Erskine each added a goal to the lead.
The Titans opened up the second quarter with three unanswered goals with Sarah Gleason notching one and Devon Hanson adding a pair. Rhodes quickly answered with a 4-0 run of their own with goals from
Carina Wesker, Burke, Sophia Horowitz, and Grace Williams before heading into halftime with a 15-4 advantage.
Rhodes fired up the second half on another 4-0 run with Wesker, Kardian,
Molly Heidrick, and Julia Dalessandro finding the back of the net. Carleigh Fountain and Britney Maldonado notched three for the Titans as they trailed 19-7 heading into the fourth quarter.
The Lynx controlled the final stretch of the game, outscoring the Titans 5-1 to secure the victory.
Rhodes will face off against Colorado College on Saturday afternoon at 1:00pm CST at Tucci Stadium in Bloomington, Illinois.
