Rhodes College Field Hockey defeated Centre 3-2 in OT on Sunday at home.
The Lynx started the scoring 7 minutes in with a goal from
Grace Utz. Quickly after, the Lynx were leading 1-0 until the Colonels scored off of a corner, ending the first period 1-1. After no additional goals in the second period, the Colonels came back and scored at the beginning of the third period.
Sophie Croci was able to tie the game 2-2 with another goal at the end of the third. The Lynx and Colonels ended the fourth tied up 2-2 to head into overtime.
Six minutes into OT, Sophi Croci made a shot blocked by Colonels GK, but Croci quickly shot again to score the game's last goal to beat the Colonels 3-2.

Rose Martin had 11 saves in her first start for the Lynx, helping to keep the Colonels to only two goals.

The Lynx are on the road this weekend, taking on Concordia University on Saturday, Oct. 21st, at 9 a.m.
