MEMPHIS, Tenn. (March 8, 2022) - The Rhodes Lynx opened their 2022 Spring season with a 3rd place finish at the Buccaneer Invitational, hosted by Christian Brothers University at the Irene Golf and Country Club. 

Bree Wilson and Grace Young both shot 76 (+4) in the final round. The Lynx shot an impressive team score of 313 in cold, wet and windy conditions to place 3rd out of nine teams. Wilson had the best individual finish for the Lynx with a 81-81-76=238, which tied her for the 5th best finish for an individual. 

In Monday's 36 hole competition, Megan Morris posted scores of 79-77 to pace the Lynx.

"Yesterday the wind chill was in the high 30's and the wind was blowing 15-20 mph. The course was playing 6100 yards," said Rhodes head coach Mike Clary. "The conditions were better today, but the wind chill was still in the high 30's/low 40's most of the day. Grace and Bree's 76's were really good scores."

The Lynx next competition will be a match play event at Lake Oconee, GA vs Oglethorpe this Sunday, March 13.
