TUNICA, Miss. (March 30, 2022) - Rhodes junior AJ Chicharro tied for first-place at the 2022 Lee & Joe Duncan Rhodes Invitational, held this past Monday and Tuesday at Tunica National Golf Club. As a team, Rhodes finished in third place.

Chicharro was tied for the lead after shooting a 73 (+1) in Monday's first round. Sophia Alexander and Laine Hursch matched her total as well to form a three-way tie atop the leaderboard. On day two, Chicharro finished with a 75 (+3) to end at 148. Teagan Fritts of Berry College had a phenomenal day two, carding an even-par 72 to tie for first-place. Alexander and Hursch finished with a 149 and 150, respectively 

Bree Wilson and Megan Morris were the only other Lynx to finish in the top ten among the 36-player field. Wilson shot a 81-76=157 (+13) to finish in 7th, while Morris posted a 78-82=160 (+16) in a tie for ninth. Chicharro and Wilson were named the All-Tournament team for their efforts. 

Denison University claimed the team title with scores of 306-316=622 (+46). Coming in second was Berry at 312-312=624, followed by the Lynx "A" team at 308-318=626. Rounding out the standings were Rhodes "B" (654), Transylvania (694) and Rhodes "C" (699).
