MEMPHIS, Tenn. (March 20, 2022) - The Rhodes Lynx found themselves back in the win column on Sunday afternoon, defeating Transylvania 19-8 at Mason Field. The win moves Rhodes to 8-3 on the season while Transy falls to 2-6.
The Pioneers were the first on the board, scoring a goal less than a minute in to the game. Rhodes was quick to respond, netting their own first-minute strike from the stick of
Baylee Barker. Twenty seconds later, Barker added her second of the game. Rhodes would go on to add five more goals in the quarter, thanks to
Carina Wesker,
Aidan Pike,
Izzy Parker,
Payton Bennett, and
Chloe Parker. The Lynx led 7-2 after one.
Rhodes scored six more goals in the second, highlighted by three from Barker to give her five on the day. The Lynx attack was overwhelming for the Pioneers, who struggled to keep up the pace with the high-scoring Lynx. Payton Bennett came out strong in the third quarter, scoring the first two goals. She was joined by
Aidan Pike,

Madison Recker man-up goal. Transy was able to find the net four times in the fourth to make the final of 19-8.
Emily Bruner was once again the catalyst for the offense, assisting on seven of the Lynx goals and scoring once.
