The Southern Athletic Association has announced the 2020-21 Volleyball All-Conference honors with Rhodes earning two All-SAA accolades.
Freshman
Shayla Garrison earned first teams honors while sophomore
Gabrielle White garnered second team all-conference honors.
Garrison, an outside hitter from San Antonio, Texas, was one of four first years named first team All-SAA. She led the Lynx with 135 kills and was fourth in the SAA averaging 3.00 kills per set. She was second on the team with 124 digs, and had a reception percentage of .950. Garrison recorded a career-high 22 kills against Oglethorpe this season. She also hit .341 in game one against Hendrix and was named SAA Offensive Player of the Week after the regular season finale. Garrison earned double-digit kills in six games this year, including each of the last three, as well as five double-doubles.
White, a middle blocker from Berryville, Va., garners first career All-SAA honors. At at-large selection, White recorded a career-high 16 kills against Millsaps and tallied double-digit kills in each of her last three games. She hit double figures for the first time in her career this season at the net, doing so five times. At Berry, White hit a massive .462 with eight kills on 13 attempts. She tallied 98 kills this year and an attack-leading and SAA Top 10 .242 hitting percentage. White led the Lynx with 39 total blocks, 33 block assists, and was part of a career-high six blocks in the season-opener at Birmingham-Southern. She also recorded four total blocks in five games this season and averaged 0.83 blocks per set.
