Rhodes College first year Matt Leone has garnered SAA Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week honors as announced by the Southern Athletic Association on March 22, 2021.  

In his first start, Leone recorded a career-high day with nine points, six goals and three assists. The Madison, N.J. native tallied a hat trick and two assists in the second quarter alone, pushing the Lynx to a 9-3 advantage over Birmingham-Southern. 

Rhodes finished with a 17-6 victory to open conference play as Leone scored on every one of his shots. He also added two ground balls on the day. 

Rhodes will travel to Atlanta, Ga. this weekend to face Berry College for a 7 p.m. ET contest Friday before facing Oglethorpe on Sunday.
