Women's Soccer Draws With Birmingham-Southern

Memphis - It was a gorgeous Sunday for Rhodes women's soccer who is now 1-0-1 on the season after a 0-0 2OT draw against Birmingham-Southern. 

Rhodes maintained possession for the majority of the game, including the first half, despite a 5-4 BSC shot advantage in the first 45 minutes of play. First year goalkeeper Annika Seoane made four saves in the first half as the Lynx also recorded a team save to keep Panthers from scoring. 

In the second half against a foul-driven BSC team, Rhodes outshot the Panthers 7-4. Seoane made a point-blank save in the second half which was followed up with another team save from Allie Shephard to keep the Panthers off the scoreboard and to force overtime. 

In OT, BSC held a small 2-1 corner kick advantage but the Panthers made two saves as Rhodes outshot the guests 4-1 acrosse both overtime periods. 

Rhodes will travel to Oglethorpe and Berry next weekend.
