Atlanta, Ga. - Rhodes College women's tennis defeated Oglethorpe University 9-0 in a conference matchup on Saturday before continuing their dominance on Sunday with a 7-0 victory in the non-conference matchup.
Game One
The Lynx allowed the Stormy Petrels to win just five games in doubles play as Rhodes won 8-1, 8-4 and 8-0. In singles play, the Lynx won 2, 3, 4, and 6 slots in straight sets.
Julia Darkey won at No. 5 singles 7-6 (7-3), 6-4 and senior Dasha Safaria held on for the 6-4, 1-6, 10-8 victory.
Game Two
Rhodes took all doubles victories with scores of 8-4, 8-6 and 8-0. In singles, the Lynx won at 1, 2, and 3 before the match closed with a victory at No. 5 singles.
Dallas Bennett came from behind to win 1-6, 7-6 (10-5). The final two singles slots, 5 and 7, went unfinished.

The Lynx will finally get to compete at the Dunavant Tennis Complex this weekend with home matches against Berry College. The SAA matchup will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday followed with a non-conference matchup on Sunday which begins at 9 a.m.
