Memphis - The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) has decided to continue to award All-American honors for Indoor Track and Field this season, bestowing 675 student-athletes with the honor. Due to the cancellation of the NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships, the Executive Committee adopted the following criteria for 2020 All-America status:

• Based on the selected participants for the national championships initially announced by the NCAA on Sunday, March 8 the following will be recognized as All-America for the 2020 indoor track & field season:
  • Individual events: ALL student-athletes declared and initially accepted into their event.
  • Relay events: Members of ALL relays who produced the performance that was declared and initially accepted into their event.

Rhodes College sophomore Maddie Chandler (Broussard, La.) has been named a 2020 All-American for her performance in indoor long jump. Chandler, who was at the top of her game when the NCAA Indoor Championships were canceled, was tied as the seventh seed at Nationals. Her program-record jump of 5.68 meters this season at the Keck Invitational on February 8, was the 11th best jump in DIII this season. 

Chandler earned All-Region recognition in both the long jump and triple jump this year before she arrived at the 2020 NCAA DIII Indoor Track & Field Championships for what would have been her first national appearance.
