Hilton Head, S.C. - Rhodes College women's tennis opened spring break 2020 with an 8-1 loss to NCAA Division-II Slippery Rock University Sunday. 

Rhodes' lone win came from the No. 3-doubles team of Dallas Bennett and Emily Holderness. The duo took down their opponents 6-4. In singles action, Holderness, Dasha Safarian and Lea Letourneau took their opponents to third set tiebreakers. Safarian fell at No. 2-singles 5-7, 6-4, 5-10 while Letourneau took her No. 3-singles opponent to 5-7, 6-4, 6-10 and Holderness fell at No. 6-singles 6-4, 2-6, 6-10. 

The Lynx are off on Monday and return to action on Tuesday against Sweet Briar College at 9 a.m. ET.
