Hilton Head, S.C. - Rhodes College women's tennis defeated Sweet Briar 9-0 on their second day of competition over spring break.
The Lynx began the morning with an 8-1 victory at No. 3-doubles before winning 8-4 in the No. 2 slot and holding off the Vixens 8-6 at No. 1 doubles.
In singles action,
Michelle Adan-Pol shut out her opponent in the second set while
Lea Letourneau did so in her first No. 3-singles match and
Finn Mullen blanked her opponent in both matches at No. 6-singles. In the fifth singles matchup,
Caroline Yarbrough came back and won in a third set tiebreaker 2-6, 6-2, 10-5 to help ensure the shutout.
Rhodes will have Wednesday off before they turn to face Wooster on Thursday at 1 p.m. ET.
