Hilton Head, S.C. - Rhodes College women's tennis defeated The College of Wooster 8-1 Thursday afternoon.
Playing on only four courts, the Lynx swept doubles 8-5, 8-1, 8-5.
In singles the Lynx swept their opponents at No. 1, 2, 3 and 6 singles.
Kate McGough bounced back from a 4-6 first set loss at No. 4 singles to blank her opponent in the second set before tallying to a 10-8 victory in the third set tiebreaker. Wooster's lone win came at No. 5 singles in a long battle against Rhodes'
Dallas Bennett. Bennett took her first set into a tiebreaker where the sophomore won 9-7 before Wooster took set two 6-2. In the third set tiebreaker, Wooster came out ahead of a tough set 10-7.
Rhodes, who is now 4-3 on the year and has won two straight matches, will conclude their suspended season against Haverford at 8:30am ET on Friday, March 13.
