Indianapolis, Ind. - Sophomore Maddie Chandler will head to the 2020 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships after qualifying in the long jump for the first time in her career.

For each women's individual event contested, including the heptathlon, the top-20 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. The 2020 NCAA DIII Championships will be held March 13-14 in Winston-Salem, N.C. at the JDL Fast Track with Guilford College and Visit Winston-Salem serving as hosts.

Chandler broke the school record in the long jump this year with her jump of 5.68m at the Keck Invite on February 8. Her mark ties for seventh longest for those performing at the championships. She will make her NCAA debut on Friday, March 13 at 12:50 p.m. ET. Prior to competition, the championships luncheon is scheduled for 6 p.m. ET on Thursday. The banquet will be held at BB&T Field.

***As of Wednesday night the NCAA has cancelled the banquet and spectators will not be allowed at the championships due to latest NCAA stance on COVID-19.

***As of Thursday afternoon the NCAA cancelled all remaining winter and spring 2020 championships.
