The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Association (IWLCA) has chosen six NCAA student-athletes for the IWLCA/StringKing Player of the Week awards for the week of February 3-9, 2020. This weekly award recognizes the best offensive and defensive performances by payers in Division I, II, and III each week during the regular season.
Rhodes sophomore
Payton Bennett represented NCAA Division III by being chosen as the first Defensive Player of the Week for the season.
Bennett (Baltimore, Md.) served up several career-highs in Rhodes' 20-3 dominating season-opening win over Southwestern University. The sophomore scored three goals on four shots and picked up three ground balls and caused four turnovers. Bennett finished the day with career-highs in assists (six), points (nine) and caused turnovers (four).
