Mount Berry, Ga. - Rhodes College men's basketball suffered a 92-49 road loss at Berry College Friday night. The Lynx are now 3-9 on the year while the Vikings improve to 11-2.
Rhodes' first four baskets of the game came from long range before Berry opened the game scoring 11 unanswered points to take a 20-point lead. The Vikings outscored the Lynx 40-24 in the first half and 50-25 in the second half.
Berry shot 50% in the field in the first half and an astounding 61.3% (19-of-31) in the second half. The Vikings finished the game with 13 three-pointers with Drew Jones and Dawson Wehunt combining for 8-of-11 behind the arc.
Preston Giroux and
Jalen Essick led the Lynx with nine points while
Wiley Pippenger recorded six rebounds.
Rhodes will now turn to face Oglethorpe in Atlanta on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET.
