Memphis - Rhodes College men's basketball suffered an 89-61 loss to Millsaps College Friday night.
With Rhodes trailing by two (14-12) seven minutes into the game, Millsaps went on 21-5 run before holding a 46-26 lead at halftime. The Lynx averaged better than the Majors in accuracy in the second half, but Millsaps' 28-13 rebounding advantage kept the Lynx at bay.
In the game, Millsaps earned 54 rebounds to Rhodes' 24, but the Lynx averaged better from three-point range and from the free throw line.
Freshman
Wiley Pippenger tallied two blocks and a team-high four rebounds while scoring was led by
Koki Wiley (13) and
Mitch Weatherford (11).
The Lynx will look ahead to Sunday's game against Birmingham-Southern inside Mallory Gymnasium at 3 p.m.
