Chicago, Ill. - Rhodes College women's soccer let up their first goal of the season before scoring two more to defeat Roosevelt University and improve to 4-0 on the season.
Roosevelt scored in the 39th minute on their second shot of the game, securing the only goal of the first half.
The Lynx fired off 13 shots in the game, including eight on goal and six in the first half. Freshman
Anya Ranaraja served up sophomore
Alli Cundiff to tie the game in the 58th minute. Ranaraja slipped the ball up field to Cundiff who ran it down and went one-on-one with the goalkeeper.
Ranaraja then passed the ball to the right side of the box to junior
Sara Scherer who put in the game-winner, her second goal of the season.
Ranaraja and Cundiff lead the Southern Athletic Association with four assists and six goals respectively.
The Lynx are on the road once again this weekend, traveling to Greencastle, Ind. for the DePauw Challenge Cup. Rhodes will open the weekend against Wisconsin-Whitewater at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
