Jackson, Miss. - Rhodes College volleyball is now 7-7 on the year and 0-5 in SAA play after a 3-1 loss at Millsaps College Saturday.
Rhodes got behind early 3-0, but then took a 9-5 advantage before the Majors rebounded to lead 19-14 on their way to a 25-19 victory, ending on a block. Millsaps led the majority of the second set before going up 2-0 on a 25-15 set win. Rhodes avoided the sweep after tying the third set 14-14 and then after being tied at 22, the Lynx scored two points to lead 24-22. Heather Antrim put down the kill. Millsaps jumped out to a 12-6 lead in the final set before winning 25-16.Â
The Lynx recorded 12 kills in the third set while hitting .211. Overall,
Kelsey Glasper led Rhodes with 10 kills, Antrim five blocks,
Marissa Hall 25 digs and four aces, and
Emily Korba totaled 12 assists.Â
Rhodes returns to Mallory Gymnasium to host No. 7 Berry College on Friday at 6 p.m., followed by Oglethorpe University at noon on Saturday.
