Fred Jackson (Nashville, Tenn. / Ensworth) has been named to the D3football.com Team of the Week, as announced by the organization September 23, 2019.
Jackson finished this week with 335 yards on seven punts, averaging 47.9 yards per punt, the longest of the season. Two of those were over 50 yards and four (57%) fell inside the 20-yard line. He made the following punts of 46, 48, 55 and 42 yards in the third quarter alone. He also recorded punts of 44, 46 and 54 yards in the same game.
Jackson leads the SAA with 809 punting yards, the seventh highest number of yards this season among NCAA Division III punters. His average punt of 44.9 yards is also ranked seventh among DIII peers.
Rhodes football will host Sewanee this Saturday at 1 p.m. in the storied rivalry of the Orgill Cup.Â
