Conway, Ark. - Rhodes College men's soccer traveled to Conway, Ark. for their season opener on Friday, August 30th. The Lynx faced Hardin-Simmons (HSU) on Hendrix College's campus, falling to the Cowboys by a lone goal.

Freshman Maxwell Hughes hit the post as the 11th minute came to an end in Rhodes' first shot attempt before Hardin-Simmons netted the game-winner in the 21st minute. The Cowboys mustered one more shot before the half was over. 

Sophomore Travis Tuerff rattled off two shots in the first five minutes of the second half, the first on target before it was saved by HSU. 

Overall HSU totaled nine shots to Rhodes' four with the Lynx picking up one corner in the second half. 

Rhodes will face Huntingdon on Sunday at 12 p.m. in Conway.
