Memphis - The Rhodes College track and field programs had nine student-athletes earn a total of 15 2019 U.S. Track & Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-South/Southeast Region honors, as announced by the Association on Sunday.
The top-five individuals in each event from their respective regions earn all-region honors, while the top-three relay rankings also earn the distinction. Five Lynx women totaled 10 honors while four men earned five accolades.
Juniors Sara Kate Capel and Leda St Cyr led all Lynx after earning accolades in three events including both as members of the 4x400m relay. Freshman Maddie Chandler earned two all-region honors in her first outdoor season while freshman Alli Cundiff and sophomore Julia Bergquist earned all-region honors in the 4x400m relay. Capel narrowly missed a fourth regional honor in the 400m hurdles by one second.
