Memphis - Rhodes College women's tennis, ranked 12th in the Atlantic South, defeated No. 15-regionally ranked Birmingham-Southern 8-1 on Saturday. The Lynx improve to 9-4 on the season.

Dasha Safarian won at No. 2 singles 6-3, 6-1 before No. 18 regionally ranked freshman
Michelle Adan-Pol won the deciding match at No. 1 singels 6-1, 6-4.
Kate McGough beat her opponent at No. 4 singles 10-5 in the third set tiebreaker.
Tricia Sculco fought hard at No. 6 singles to help the Lynx with a sweep, but fell 11-9 in her third set tiebreaker. Bennett, at No. 5 singles, earned the only 6-0 win in her first set.Â
Sunday's match against Millsaps has moved indoors to Memphis University School with an 8:45 a.m. start.Â
