Memphis - The No. 9 regionally ranked Rhodes men's tennis team defeated Birmingham-Southern 8-1 to improve to 9-6 on the season.
Rhodes' only loss came at No. 1 doubles as the No. 8 regionally ranked duo of
Andrew Morton and
P.J. Shaw fell in a tiebreaker 7-4.
In singles, Shaw swept his opponent in the fourth slot 6-0, 6-0 while Morton and
Sean Hogan also picked up a 6-0 win each.
Ritwik Chatterjee helped ensure the singles sweep for the Lynx after a 7-6 (12-10) win in his first set before finishing it up 6-2.
Rhodes has changed locations for their match on Sunday, April 7 against Millsaps. First serve is slated for 8 a.m. indoors at Memphis Country Club.
