Murfreesboro, Tenn. - No. 2 seeded Rhodes College men's tennis defeated No. 7 seeded Berry College 5-0 to open the 2019 SAA Tournament. The Lynx advance to the semifinals against No. 3 seeded Oglethorpe at 9 a.m. Saturday.
Rhodes earned their first win at No. 3 doubles 8-2, before winning No.1 and No. 2 doubles 8-4. In singles,
Frank Stich picked up a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 5 before
Sairam Gudiseva closed out the match with a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles.
Rhodes is looking to return to the SAA Tournament Championship match for the first time since the inaugural SAA season (2013).
