Murfreesboro, Tenn. - Rhodes College defeated No. 3 seeded Oglethorpe 5-2 in the 2019 SAA semifinals, advancing the Lynx to the tournament championship match on Sunday. This will be Rhodes' first appearance in the championship match since the SAA's inaugural season (2013). 

Rhodes found themselves down 2-1 after doubles, but the Lynx claimed four singles victories to keep their season alive. 

Ritwik Chatterjee and Phil Lauture teamed up for the first win of the day at No. 2 doubles (8-1). The win marked Chatterjee's 100th career victory which he followed up with a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles. Lauture also won his singles match (No. 2) 6-2, 6-1 before P.J. Shaw (No. 4) won 6-3, 6-2 to give Rhodes a 4-2 advantage. Freshman Alex Lloyd clinched the game with his No. 5 singles win 6-4, 6-3. 

Rhodes will face No. 30 ranked Sewanee on Sunday at 9 a.m. for the tournament title.
