Sewanee, Tenn. - Rhodes College women's tennis took on No. 26-ranked Sewanee on the road Saturday. The Lynx fell 7-2, and are now 1-1 in conference and 8-3 on the season.
Rhodes narrowly fell at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles (8-6) before the Tigers went up 5-0. At No. 3-singles,
Caroline Doherty was up 5-4 before her opponent dropped out due to injury. Sewanee took two more singles matches before freshman
Kate McGough won a tie-breaker match at No. 4 singles (6-3, 5-7, 10-7) to close out the day.
The Lynx travel to Centre to take on the Colonels tomorrow at 10 a.m. ET at the Top Seed Tennis Club in Nicholasville, Ky.
