Memphis - Rhodes College men's lacrosse hosted Birmingham-Southern in a 2018 SAA Tournament Semifinal re-match. Rhodes defeated the Panthers 12-11 in overtime during last year's postseason before breezing by BSC 15-3 during this year's regular season contest. A steady rain fell during the entire game as strong winds came through the facility in the final minutes of the game.
Rhodes, who has now won three straight games to improve to 8-2 on the season, took the upper hand early, scoring the first six goals on their way to a 6-2 halftime advantage. Rhodes then the next five goals before BSC netted their only goal of the half with 4:46 to go in the third quarter. The Lynx concluded the game with four goals in the final 14 minutes of the game.
Eleven different Lynx scored, including
Tyler Milwit on a man-up situation in the first. The Lynx held strong on a two-minute penalty in the first quarter, not allowing the Panthers to score. Overall, freshman
Christian Cisneros recorded six points, tying his career high, with four assists and two goals. Sophomore
Matt Perez recorded five points with three goals and two assists.
Mac Ference tallied two goals while the following Lynx each scored one goal:

Alexi Thomas.
Defensively,
Henry Hasbrouck recorded five caused turnovers and
Cameron Link made 15 saves. On the face-off, Rhodes went 14-of-22, held a 42-29 ground ball advantage and edged the Panthers 50-42 in shots.
Rhodes will travel to Virginia this weekend for a neutral-site game against No. 13 Denison on Saturday before traveling to Oglethorpe and Berry the following week. The Lynx only return home on April 6 to host Southwestern where the game will be played on Mason Field due to a home track meet.
