Eight Score in SAA Opening Men's Lacrosse Victory

Conway, Ark. - Eight different Lynx scored in Rhodes' 15-5 men's lacrosse victory at Hendrix College Saturday. The Lynx, who are now 7-2 on the year, opened Southern Athletic Association play with a 9-1 halftime advantage. 

Ryan Dancy got scoring started just over two minutes into the contest before Hendrix tied the game. Rhodes would go on to hold the Warriors scoreless for about 32 minutes while Spencer Dorfneilsen tallied his second goal of the day. The Lynx led by as many as 12 points before Dorfneilsen scored three goals in the fourth, recording all of the Warriors' goals. 

For Rhodes, Andrew Lempner and Tyler Milwit each scored a hat trick while Jonathon Hazelhurst, J.J. Hoots, and Matt Perez all netted two goals apiece. David Perez and Will Cordes rounded out Rhodes' scoring with one goal each. Cameron Link made 16 saves for Rhodes. Hoots went 12-of-14 in face-offs as the Lynx won 16-of-22 attempts on the day. 

Rhodes will host Birmingham-Southern on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
