Arkadelphia, Ark. - A day after winning their season opener at home, Rhodes women's tennis took down Ouachita Baptist on the road 8-1.
The Lynx opened the match sweeping doubles including a long No. 1-doubles win from
Michelle Adan-Pol and
Dasha Safarian. The duo edged their opponents 8-7 and completed the game with a 7-4 second set victory.
In singles play, Adan-Pol earned the deciding point at No. 1-singles 6-4, 7-6, 7-4. Freshman
Kate McGough also took her opponent to three sets for victory (6-2, 4-6, 6-2) before fellow freshman
Dallas Bennett picked up her first career victory at No. 5-singles.
Rhodes will travel to Jackson, Miss. to take on Belhaven on February 16, followed by a neutral-site matchup against Huntingdon on February 17.
