Owens Guides Lynx to Victory Over BSC

Birmingham, Ala. - With six and a half minutes left in the game and Rhodes women's basketball and Birmingham-Southern tied 45-45, the Lynx went on a 15-6 run to bridge the gap and earn their second win in a row. Rhodes is now 13-10 overall and 6-6 in SAA play while BSC drops to 8-15 on the year and 5-7 in conference.

The two teams traded leads throughout the game and both were held to a combined 13 points in the third quarter. 

Junior Alyssa Owens went six-of-10 from three-point range to net career-high points and treys in a game. She finished with the game-high 25 points and game-high nine rebounds to propel the Lynx to the 62-56 win. 

Freshman Kiera Downey's awareness on the court allowed her to also tally career marks in two categories. She recorded five assists and four steals. Forwards Allie Young and Moriah Muhammad both recorded seven rebounds. 

With only two regular season games left, Rhodes will take on Millsaps on Sunday in Jackson, Miss. at 1 p.m.
