Jackson, Miss. - Rhodes College women's basketball succumbed to Millsaps College 70-50 Sunday afternoon. The loss takes the Lynx to 13-11 on the year and 6-7 in conference, tied with Birmingham-Southern. The Majors were crowned regular season conference champions as they improve to 20-4 overall and 11-2 against Southern Athletic Association members. 

After a close first half where the Lynx trailed by eight points, Rhodes posted a 14-13 third period advantage, but converted only nine points in the final frame while Millsaps put 22 points on the scoreboard. During the fourth period, Rhodes made three of 13 field goal attempts while Millsaps shot almost 54%. 

In the game, Millsaps held a 42-32 rebounding advantage and shot 41% in the field compared to Rhodes' 27.6% game average. 

Lindsey Whiteside led the Lynx with 16 points where she made all seven free throw attempts. Senior Allie Young tallied a team-high nine rebounds to go with her eight points. 

Rhodes will conclude their regular season at Hendrix on Saturday, February 23 at 3 p.m.
