Birmingham, Ala. - It was a night of ups and downs for Rhodes swimming as the Lynx won two events on the second night of competition at the 2019 Southern Athletic Association Championships.
Beginning with the 200 freestyle relay, the Rhodes women placed third before the men's team of Harrison Rozman, Evan Ziolkowski, Christian Stankovic and Zac Gammons swam to a Rhodes record-breaking victory. The Lynx finished the event in 1:24.90, marking a historical event, winning their program's first-ever relay event at the SAA Championships.
In the 500 free, freshman
Lilli Metts led Rhodes with a third place finish in 5:06.43.
Erin Osborne took home fifth in 5:11.73 with
Elyse Jacobs less than a second on her heels. Roland Chang advanced to the championship heat and placed eighth on the men's side.
