Atlanta, Ga. - With the conference season dwindling down, Rhodes volleyball took down Oglethorpe University on the road Sunday to sweep the Stormy Petrels during the regular season.
The Lynx fell in the first set 26-24 before storming back to win three straight sets 25-16, 25-23 and 25-16.
Rhodes led 21-19 in the first set before four straight points gave Oglethorpe the lead. Tied at 24, the Stormy Petrels won on a kill and service ace. A .483 hitting percentage powered the Lynx in the second set. Trailing 12-11, Rhodes scored six unanswered points to lead 17-12 and closed out the set on four straight points. Rhodes trailed in the third 13-11, but rallied for a 9-1 run. Their six-point lead was soon erased after Oglethorpe put up five points in a row. The Lynx led 22-20 before the Stormy Petrels took a one-point advantage (23-22), but an OU blocking error, Lynx kill and Lynx team block gave Rhodes three straight points for the third set victory. In the final set, a 14-1 run put Rhodes ahead 16-5. OU tried to make a comeback with seven unanswered points late in the game, but the Lynx closed the match on a 3-1 run.
Kelsey Glasper recorded a double-double in the game with the game-high 19 kills and 16 digs. She also led the game with a .390 hitting percentage. Libero

Sarah Nieland led all players with 27 assists.
Annie Burke added another 19 assists while Glasper, Hall and Burke each recorded two aces.
Kathryn Chambers and
Heather Antrim each totaled four block assists.
Rhodes returns to Memphis for their final four-game home stand to close out the regular season. The Lynx host Millsaps on Saturday at 1 p.m. followed by Birmingham-Southern on Sunday at noon.
