The Southern Athletic Association has announced that Rhodes' Sinead Eksteen (Vienna, Va. / McLean) has earned the first Women's Swimmer of the Week honor for the conference for the 2019-20 season.

Eksteen, who broke Rhodes' 1000 free record at the Birmingham-Southern/University of West Florida/Millsaps College meet, also won all three of her events at the meet. She led off the 200 medley relay in a 27.22 backstroke split and won the following events: 1000 free (10:17.02), 100 back (57.83), and 500 free (4:59.96).

Eksteen currently leads all of NCAA Division III swimmers in the 1000 free, 500 free, 200 free and 100 back and is second in the 50 back.

The Rhodes swimming and diving teams will return to competition on October 26 at Hendrix College.
