Sandestin, Fla. - The Lynx women's golf team came out of the gates swinging today during the third round of Golfweek DIII Fall Invitational en route to the lowest team score of the week, 294 (+6). They moved five spots up the leader board to finish in a tie for second with Methodist University, falling 19 shots behind champion Carnegie Mellon.

Through nine holes, the team was six under par, a new school record. This fantastic play was highlighted by junior Annie Paris' hole-in-one on hole 14 (her sixth hole of the day due to the shotgun start). She finished the day with a round of one-over 73. Freshman Bree Wilson finished out her strong tournament with a one-under 71, which earned her a third place finish. Freshman Woo Wade and junior Tabitha Diehl had their low rounds of the week shooting 74 and 76, respectively. Rounding out the five, senior Mary Melissa Manuel shot 81.

Individually, freshman AJ Chicharro finished her week with a 77, as she tied for sixth place. Fellow freshman Sydney Williams had her lowest round of the week with an 83 while sophomore Karrington Knight and freshman Isabella Martino both shot 87.

The Lynx have completed their fall season and will tee it up again in March 2020 at Christian Brothers University's tournament.
