Danville, Ky. – Under a bright and blue Kentucky sky, Rhodes was hosted by Centre College in an SAA matchup. Once Centre gained control in the game they never looked back on their way to a 3-0 victory.

The first half of play was defined by spells of possession from both teams who attempted to pick the other apart. By the 20th minute Centre had found the back of the net from a well-placed cross resulting in a header. Centre continued to force the issue by pinning Rhodes inside their own end by swinging the ball and slashing crosses into the box. Five minutes before halftime Centre would capitalize on a ball that bounced around in front of the Rhodes goal which eventually resulted in their second goal.

Play was slower in the second half as Rhodes attempted to force the ball forward but Centre absorbed the pressure and then countered. The Colonels forced a few more saves from Nathan Meglic who ended the day with five total. Centre scored their third goal from a penalty kick to see the game through to victory.

Rhodes will plan for Oglethorpe University who they play Friday October 18 at home at 3 p.m.
