Maryville, Tenn. - Rhodes College volleyball swept Lynchburg before defeating host Maryville College 3-1 Friday afternoon. The Lynx, playing in the Maryville Invitational are now 4-2 on the year.
Rhodes took down Lynchburg 25-20, 25-20 and 25-18 before overcoming Maryville 25-22, 23-25, 28-26, 25-22.
Against Lynchburg,
Camila Zimmerman led Rhodes with 12 kills and a .310 hitting percentage.
Mary Frances Daniel's tallied the game-high 15 digs with
Kelsey Glasper added 11 digs. Defensive specialist-turned-setter
Marissa Hall recorded 11 assists and the game-high four service aces.
Againt Maryville, Daniel once again led the game defensively, this time with 21 digs. Zimmerman and
Heather Antrim both recorded 12 digs in the win with Antrim recording a .423 hitting percentage. Glasper added another 16 digs while setter
Sarah Nieland added 10 digs. Both she and Hall recorded 21 assists in the match. Senior
Morgan Hill led blocking at the net, recording eight of the team's 22 block assists.
Rhodes will play against Salem on Saturday at 10 a.m. ET, and will end the weekend against Covenant at 2 p.m. ET. Only live stats will be provided for Saturday games. Each game has a different link, both found on our
