Cleveland, Miss. - Rhodes College swimming and diving opened their season at Delta State Saturday. With just two weeks of practice, the Lynx took on tough Delta State squads whose first competition was before Rhodes' first practice.
Winning the 100 fly on the women's side was senior
Allie Hill in under a minute (59.69). She also placed second in the 200 yard individual medley, just two seconds behind Delta State as the Lynx tallied four of the top five finishes. In the 200 yard freestyle relay,

Sara Kate Capel,
Erin Osborne and
Carly Good defeated
Margaret Johnson,
Kaitlin Gasner,
Elyse Jacobs and
Angie Harri.
Zac Gammons placed second in the 50 freestyle (22.55 seconds) while
Hayden Hill finished second in the 100 butterfly (52.00 seconds). In the men's 200 free relay, the sophomore team of
Harrison Rozman,
David Pitts,
Jon Pulaski and
Finn Sensiba defeated the freshman team of Joe Pastrana,
Ryan Folk,
Ben Bryce and
Ian Rappe by about 13 seconds.
Rhodes will train until their November 3rd home dual against Birmingham-Southern. The meet will take place at the Bartlett Aquatic Center in Bartlett, Tenn.
