Sewanee, Tenn. - Coming off a five-set victory, Rhodes volleyball fell on the road against Sewanee Sunday 3-1. The Lynx are now 8-5 on the season and 2-3 in conference play.
After falling in their first two sets 19-25 and 23-25, Rhodes avoided the sweep by defeating the Tigers 25-22. Sewanee took a 17-11 lead during the fourth set before winning the match 25-18.
Freshman
Marissa Hall served up a career-high five aces while
Heather Antrim led the Lynx with 11 kills. This is her fourth game this season to accumulate double-digit kills.
Rhodes will return to Memphis and finally host a Southern Athletic Association contest. The Lynx welcome Oglethorpe to Mallory Gymnasium on Saturday at noon, followed by a non-conference game against LeTourneau around 2 p.m.
