Box Score Rome, Ga. - On day two of the ITA Atlantic South Regionals, five Lynx took the court in singles action.
Junior Ritwick Chatterjee led the group in the round of 16 in the A draw. He got down a break to Sewanee's Jordan Brewer 0-2 before storming back to win five straight games and take the first set 6-3. In the second set, Chatterjee came back from down 0-30 to break and take a 4-3 lead and broke against at 5-3 to close out the match 6-3, 6-3 to advance to the quarterfinals. Later, Chatterjee won 7-5, 4-1, ret. over Ionnis Brokakis from North Carolina Wesleyan to advance to the semifinal round.
In the consolation draw,
P.J. Shaw won his first match against Belhaven 6-1, 6-0 while
Andrew Morton had one of the longest morning matches after holding off three match points before losing 5-7, 7-5, 10-8. In C draw quarterfinals, freshman
Alvaro Siu dropped a close match to Sewanee 3-6, 6-2, 10-3.
In doubles
Phil Lauture and Chatterjee fell 8-3 while
Sairam Gudiseva and
Sean Hogan suffered an 8-1 loss. In the C draw, Siu and
Alex Lloyd took down their LaGrange opponents 8-2. before retiring Sewanee in the final match.

Chatterjee's semifinal match will be against Emory's Jonathan Jamison, who was ranked 11th nationally at the end of last season. That match is slated to begin at 8:30 a.m. ET on Sunday.
Sunday
Chatterjee outlasted all other schools to join Emory on the final day of competition. In his semifinal match he faced Jemison, the defending champion. After Chatterjee was broken in the first game he broke back in a long 10-plus minute match to even things 1-1 before losing the first set 6-2. In the second set, Chatterjee showed his competitive spirit, holding off match point and breaking Jemison to pull within two (5-3) before ultimately suffering the 6-3 loss.
The whole team had a great tournament, recording 39 wins, which was more than double the number of wins from last year (11). Full results can be found

The ITA Regional is the final fall event for the Lynx who are scheduled to open their spring season in February.
