Game Recap: Field Hockey |

Field hockey continues hot streak; Rolls over Hendrix 11-0

Memphis - Rhodes College field hockey has now won four straight games in a row after their 11-0 victory Saturday afternoon. The Lynx, who have earned all four wins at home, ended their home stand with a non-conference matchup with Hendrix College.

Rhodes posted five of those goals in the first half, with the game-winner coming just as the fifth minute of play began. Junior Hailey Mules, who led the game with three goals, was the first Lynx to score in both halves. Seniors Jillian Christensen and Lizzie Wood combined for three goals and three assists. Eight different Lynx scored during the game including the first collegiate goal for freshman Hannah Luckes while Sam Robe and Lydia Slyter recorded their firsts goal of the season.

In the game, the Lynx earned 15 penalty corners while the Warriors achieved just one.

Rhodes will head on the road next weekend for two neutral-site games in Sewanee, Tenn. The Lynx will go up against Bridgewater College at noon CT on Saturday, followed by another noon game on Sunday against Converse College.
