Memphis - With 14 games down and 14 more to go Saturday, Rhodes College volleyball went 1-1 at their 2018 Invitational, hosted inside Mallory Gymnasium.
The Lynx swept Brevard to open the invitational. Rhodes then squared off against the University of Dubuque. After suffering losses in the first two sets, including a tally of 28 points in the second set, the Lynx took down the Spartans in set three. Trailing 17-13, Rhodes went on an 8-3 scoring run to take a 21-20 advantage and ultimately avoided the sweep.
On the day, senior
Camila Zimmerman led the Lynx with 17 kills and added 14 digs and three blocks to her totals. Sophomore setter Sarah nieland landed 37 assists and a Lynx-high six aces.
Rhodes will play at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday to finish the weekend. The Lynx will take on Rust College and Huntingdon College at the respective start times. Live video and stats can be found
