Memphis - Rhodes College baseball seniors and families braved the cold weather for senior day festivities prior to sweeping Hendrix College 9-7 and 12-5 Saturday. The wins take Rhodes to 24-13 on the year and a 15-6 conference record. The Lynx earned the second seed and will host one of the opening rounds of the Southern Athletic Association Tournament.

Game One
Rhodes led 5-2 before the Warriors scored two in the top of the fourth to pull within one run.
Paul Giacomazzi hit a sacrifice fly to allow the Lynx to go ahead by two in the bottom half of the inning. Hendrix crossed three runs in the top of the seventh to take a brief lead (7-6) before Rhodes answered with three runs of their own to secure the victory.
Game Two
A
Will Heurtin triple got scoring started in the first as the Lynx tallied four runs over the first two innings before Hendrix tied the game in the third on two doubles. Rhodes pulled their offense together and rallied for seven straight hits to open their half of the fourth inning. The Lynx finished the inning with eight runs on six hits including a triple by Giacomazzi, double by
Zac Lange, and the game-winning two-RBI single by
Brady John.
Hendrix tallied a lone run in the fifth before the Lynx erased it with two more runs.
Rhodes will now host No. 7-seeded Sewanee on Thursday in the opening round of the 2018 SAA Tournament. Times will be announced early this week.
