Georgetown, Texas - Rhodes College men's lacrosse defeated Southwestern University (TX) 8-6 in non-conference competition to improve to 11-2 on the season.
The Lynx went up 3-1 after the first period but only led by one goal at halftime. Southwestern scored first in the fourth period to cut Rhodes' lead to 6-5.
David Perez scored the only Lynx goals in that same period and finished with a hat trick on the day.
Ethan Garland tallied five ground balls while Mac Ferrence finished the game with four caused turnovers.
Rhodes will turn to another non-conference matchup on Tuesday when they host Huntingdon at 6 p.m. Huntingdon went 6-0 in the regular season in the USA South to earn their regular season championship, just as the Lynx did in the SAA.
