Memphis - Rhodes College baseball showed up to play today after games got rearranged for this weekend. In the final regular season home games, Rhodes and Hendrix met up for a single game today in which the Lynx took 9-2 after hitting two home runs. 

During the game, the Lynx sold t-shirts for Friends of Jaclyn team member Aiden Taylor donning his Aiden's Avengers Assemble logo. All proceeds from the sales go directly to the Taylor family to help with their travel expenses during Aiden's third round of cancer treatment. Prior to the game Aiden took a picture with the Lynx before he got to throw out the first pitch.

Senior Jack Mercer started for the Lynx, enduring six innings on the mound without giving up a walk or run as he earned his fifth win of the year. 

After Rhodes scored their first run on a balk, Ryan Palermo solo homered to right field in the second inning before the Lynx scored on a wild pitch to go up 3-0. The Lynx recorded five runs in the fifth before Hendrix avoided the shutout with one run. 

Senior Levi Greenberg hit a home-run down the opposite line as the ball stayed just right of the left field foul pole to end scoring for Rhodes. Hendrix tallied a lone run in the ninth to finish scoring for the day. 

Defensively, the Lynx turned a double play in each of the first two innings while Zac Lange stood firm at third base, tallying five assists.

Rhodes will honor their nine seniors prior to Sunday's doubleheader against Hendrix. The senior festivities will begin around 11:30 a.m.
