Greencastle, Ind. - Rhodes College men's lacrosse opened their 2018 campaign with a 19-9 victory on the road against DePauw. 

The Lynx led 6-2 before DePauw began to claw their way back in the second quarter. Rhodes held an 8-7 edge before shutting out the Tigers in third quarter on their way to eight straight goals to break open the score. 

Ethan Garland teamed up with Ryan Fennelly to score the first goal of the season 40 seconds into the contest. DePauw's first two goals of the second quarter were in man-up situations as they totaled three of those on the day. 

Ryan Marasco recorded the lone man-down goal with 6:45 to play in the first quarter. 

Forty-one Lynx made their way onto the field compared to 25 Tigers. Cameron Link made 14 saves in the win while Fennelly led all scoring with four goals and four assists. J.J. Hoots scooped up a game-leading seven ground balls. 

Rhodes will return to Crain Field for their home opener on Saturday, February 24th when they host Augustana College at 1 p.m.
